The bus will depart Asilomar promptly at 1:15. Due to limited parking at Point Lobos we ask that you ride the bus with us. If you need to drive your own vehicle, please notify a workshop coordinator

InterpTech2018 would like to thank OnCell for their support in the field experience!

The field experience will be a "choose your own adventure" afternoon.

We will feature four experts in varying fields to engage you with their tools, knowledge, and inspiration to boost outdoor interpretation. The experts will reboot themselves at the top of the hour (2:00, 3:00 and 4:00).  Hang out in one place the whole time or move about the park to experience more stuff.

Stations/Experts will be:

  1. OnCell Hands Mobile Tour take a .7 mile hike with your mobile device and experience interpretive content via audio tour using geo-located triggers.
  2. "One-on-One" time with Sylvie Rokab.  Talk with Sylvie about nature film making, shooting in the wild, or just be inspired by her dedication to film making and the outdoors.
  3. Mini-ROV demonstration with Craig Glover and PowerRay. Watch as we bring 4K video from underwater back to the surface and experience it in VR for a true immersive experience.
  4. Docent Guided Tour using TourMate Audio System. Take a quick tour with a Point Lobos Docent and check out the TourMate audio enhancement system.

The bus will depart Point Lobos promptly at 5:15 and return to Asilomar.
